8 Days Wildebeest Migration Masai Mara Kenya

Day 1: Arrive jkia- Amboseli.

Arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport in Nairobi where you will be met by our staff and driver/Guide. Drive to Amboseli National Park set at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The park may be best known for its herds of elephants and the ground-breaking research began by Cynthia Moss in the early 1970’s. Along with these gentle giants, other plains game such as zebra, wildebeest and buffalo are in abundance. visit the Masai village. Evening game drive with a visit to the observation hill magnificent views of snow-capped Kilimanjaro. All meals and Overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge, Ol Tukai Lodge or a similar.

Day 2: Tsavo West.

Early morning game drive after breakfast. Drive to Tsavo west Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game drive visit the Mzima Springs, replenished with million liters of crystal-clear water every day from underground streams stemming from lava massif known as Chyulu Hills. Mzima forms a haven for rich wildlife pageant. Meals and overnight at Kilaguni Serena Lodge or a similar.

Day 3: Tsavo East.

Early morning game drive breakfast at the lodge Depart to Tsavo East Check in at your Lodge in time for lunch. There will be time to settle in. In the afternoon set out for a game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight at Voi Safari Lodge, or Man Eater's camp.

Day 4:Tsavo East- Nairobi.

Awaken to the sounds of the wilderness with an early morning game drive this is the time when the animals are most active before the heat of the day sends them for cover under the bushes, burrows and trees. You will search the animals you might have missed the previous day. Return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast bid Tsavo East bye driving leisurely arriving Nairobi time for lunch. Drop off at your Nairobi hotel relax for the rest of the day. Overnight at Silver Springs Hotel or a similar.

Day 5: Nairobi- Lake . Nakuru

After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National park Arrive Lunch in the lodge, Afternoon game viewing drive in the park. Lake Nakuru National Park surrounds Lake Nakuru, a shallow alkaline lake famous for the millions of flamingoes who flock here year round. Besides the rich and varied bird life this is a popular place to encounter leopard. Waterbuck are usually sighted along the lake shore, and this is the home of the Rothschild’s giraffe. Baboon, impala, buffalo, monkeys, warthog, impala, Reedbuck and eland are also resident. However, the main attractions are the rhino. The park is a designated rhino sanctuary and it is one of the best places in Kenya to observe them. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Sarova Lion Hill.

Day 6: Lake . Nakuru- Masai Mara

Breakfast at the lodge. Depart and proceed via Mau Narok and down the escarpment Narok town. Continue to Masai Mara National Reserve for lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game viewing in the reserve. Masai Mara is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River and its tributaries, and punctuated by marshes and forests. Certainly the most frequented game reserve in Kenya, this 650 sq kilometer reserve supports the highest density of game to be seen anywhere. During the seasonal migrations, Masai Mara is home to up to a million wildebeest and an equally impressive number of zebras that move into the area from neighboring Serengeti National Park, in Tanzania. The reserve is home to all the “big five” and it is also possible to observe; baboon, eland, ostrich, bat-eared fox, jackal and cheetah. The rivers abound with hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge, Mara Sopa Lodge or a similar.

Day 7: Full Day Masai Mara.

Enjoy the entire day in the Masai Mara with early morning game drive, optional balloon safari at an extra cost Afternoon game drive. The Mara is also noted for its abundance of lions - particularly the superb black maned males. You'll see lots of elephants here often in large herds, as well as - if you're lucky - leopard, cheetah and rhino. All of the Big Five are residents. You're sure to see the African buffalo. Get the cameras ready, stock up on film and enjoy yourselves! All Meals and overnight at Mara Simba Lodge or a similar.

Day 8: Masai Mara- Nairobi.

Breakfast and then depart for Nairobi arriving time for lunch. City tour, Shopping. Dinner at the famous Carnivore restaurant. Transfer to the airport for Departure.
