Welcome to Eileen’s Trees Inn in the ‘Crater Highlands’ town of Karatu. Eileen’s Trees Inn is owned and managed by Tanzania ns who have been in the safari and hospitality business for many years. Eileen’s Trees Inn, located in the town of Karatu, is about a two hour drive from the northern Tanzania town of Arusha, a three hour drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport and a thirty-five minute drive from Manyara Airport. Our friendly staff are on call and at your service and they look forward to welcoming you to Eileen’s and Karatu. The delightful gardens create a soothing atmosphere for relaxation.
Our guest rooms are set in beautiful tropical gardens, and our lounge area, bar and dining room have the fun, rustic feeling of a tree house. We have ample garden seating to allow for peaceful relaxation surrounded by lovely trees and flowers.
Our talented chefs take great pride in creating delicious, nutritious meals from locally sourced ingredients. Breakfast consists of cereal, fruits and bread with eggs cooked to order. Lunch and dinner are served buffet-style and consist of soup and rolls, a selection of salads plus rice, potatoes, vegetables and meat or chicken dishes followed by scrumptious dessert. We can cater for vegetarians with prior notice.
Enjoy a refreshing dip in our swimming pool surrounded by a large deck, sun loungers and tables and chairs. Instead of a gift shop we invite the local women basket makers to come and display their wares for you to purchase.
